 Signed up in 1962. Got to Hawaii in January of 1964.
Made the amphibious landing into Chu Lai
with the detachment from Radio
Battalion in May of 1965. Got out of the Marines in 66 and then went
back in in 68.
Stayed until 1984. Worked as an IT guy/technical trainer with the Army,
U.S. State Department and finally with Nextel/Sprint. Retired a second
time in 2007.
These days I'm in to hotrods (have a 34 Chevy Master Sedan, all 34 on the
outside, all modern underneath).
We also act as a foster home for Golden
Retrievers who are rescued and looking for a new home. We have two of
our own.
And just enjoying retirement a hole bunch.
