Sgt "Ted" Roosevelt Cash, also known as, Ted "Big Boss Man" Cash, described as an "Entertainer Extraordinaire", passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009. He was born November 5, 1942 in Minter City, MS. Ted Cash traveled the USA at the young age of six with his parents and grandmother singing Gospel music.

A Vietnam War veteran, Sergeant Ted Cash spent seven years in the Marine Corps. In Vietnam, Ted was with the 1st Radio Company Detachment in Pleiku.

Ted’s love of God and America has inspired his pursuit to perform, write, and compose music, with eight published CD’s. His album "Big Boss Man Sings the Blues" was nominated at the Nashville Music Awards for "Rhythm & Blues Album Of the Year". His CD's enjoy Top-40 status in 10 Countries. Ted had the privilege to sing with such greats as Sam Cooke, Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Billy Preston, and The Mighty Clouds of Joy for whom his father sang bass and played guitar.


Ted and his wife Aneita moved to Las Vegas in 1999, where Ted had tremendous success performing in major showrooms up and down the Las Vegas Strip. God gave Ted a gift of love and song. He will be sorely missed.
