R.J. Kelly was born March 11, 1942 in the Bronx, New York. He died November 8, 2007. He served from 3 May 1961 and was honorably discharged 10 April 1964. During RJ’s tour of duty he served in Saigon and Pleiku South Vietnam. He held the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Army Meritorious Unit Citation. RJ also held the pistol Marksman and rifle expert badges. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Kelly, his son Timothy and Granddaughter Hannah.
